2nd October 2015 & Your Long Weekend


Thank God for 2nd October is a Friday, and put in two extra offs, we have 5 day weekend! Jaipur is easily reachable via road / air and makes for an excellent weekend gateway for Delhiites, Gurgaon, Agra, and from other cities of Rajasthan.

Let’s say you have 2-3 days in Jaipur, you can easily see some of the most happening places in Jaipur.

Old City Charm:

Hawa Mahal or Wind Palace of Jaipur can be seen from outside and you can go inside the building to see the market place down and busy street life.

City Palace:

One of the most beautiful palaces, part of is open for public. You can also avail a special ticket to see the less accessible part of the palace. Just near it is the Govind Dev ji temple. Jantar Mantar is the Jaipur’s very own oldest observatory.

Water Palace aka Jal Mahal:

Without doubt, quite a site for any viewer during the evening / early morning and kinda chaupati like feel.

Amer / Amber Fort:

India has many forts and amer kila is one of the favourite among inbound and outbound tourists. Jaigarh fort has the largest cannon on display. Just ride /walk up another 5 kilometers up the hill, you reach Nahagrah fort.

Albert Hall Museum:

If you like museums, you shouldn’t miss this one being the oldest museum of Rajasthan bringing you closer to the Indian history.
